In this special edition of Club Kids Radio, aired originally on Chicago's WCGO 1590 AM, host Harv Roman presented a radio documentary "In The Neighborhood" by former DePaul University Student, and current Ireland student Caitlin Hacker which featured a look at the life of former Club Kid Cristina Figueroa as she faced the many obstacles familiar to many young people in today's inner city society. Cristina talks about her upbringing, her experiences with the gang, drug and teen parent cultures prevalent in her community and her rise to becoming a successful professional and parent, despite these challanges. Harv Roman, who Cristina has named as a mentor in her life adds his recollections of the young and developing Cristina, as does Larry Olsen, a Court Security Officer in the US Marshalls Office, who has seen Cristina become an outstanding US Probation Officer and DePaul University Professor. After the break, enjoy some past Kidbits featuring Cristina and her daughter Syra, who have been past in studio guests of Club Kids Radio.
