This all new edition of Wake Up Dancing features the Words and the Music of several starts of Freestyle Fullhouse II, the concert which will be held on Friday, September 17th, 2010 at the Venue/Horseshoe Casino located 20 minutes from downtown Chicago in Hammond, Indiana. The first segment features words from Classic WCYC listener Diana as she speaks on the impact of WCYC and the artists and music that the original 90.5 FM brought to the masses of Chicago's young community in the mid 1980's to the mid 1990's under the directorship of Harv Roman. That is followed by a conversation with David "Nice and Wild" Torres, who speaks not only of his days as part of the group responsible for "Diamond Girl", but also of his solo career with Mic Mac Records and his journey through freestyle past and present. After David's segment, we hear a rare radio interview with Chicago's Tim "Spinnin" Schommer who lends his expertise and humor to the conversation. Finally in a portion of a complete interview found here on wakeupdancing.com,
22 years after their first radio interview on the Classic WCYC in 1988, current WCEV 1450 AM and www.wakeupdancing.com host Harv Roman and George Lamond had a revealing Celebrity Hot Line conversation in anticipation of the Freestyle Fullhouse II Concert to be held on Friday, September 17th, 2010 at the Venue/Horseshoe Casino, located 20 minutes from downtown Chicago in Hammond, Indiana. Not only did Harv and George talk about the concert and reunion, they also discussed George's role in the development of pop star Lucas Prata, the vital role his mother's advice has played in his career and personal success story and even how Chicago has become one of his favorite destinations throughout the years.
Freestyle Fullhouse II takes place in The Venue at the Horseshoe Casino on Friday, September 17th. Go to ticketmaster.com for the best selection in seats, and visit the Horseshoe Casino at www.facebook.com/chicagohorseshoe .
