In this edition of Club Kids Radio, Harv Roman welcomed the cast of The Brown Girls Chronicles for their second in studio interview on Chicago's WCEV 1450 AM. Writer/Director/cast member Yolanda Nieves was accompanied by cast members Sandra Posadas, Diane Martinez-Cruz, Anabel Duarte, Marisel Melendez and Norma for an enlightening conversation about the lastest in the world of The Brown Girls.  They spoke of their impact on youth and community groups, the public response to their March, 2009 run at the Chicago Center for Performing Arts and the effect they were having on women of a mutitude of cultures, not just "Brown Girls". The interview also touched on the Chicago response to their production, their Chicago roots and their upcoming trip to New York for an east Coast production of the play by The Vida Bella Ensemble. Not included in this particular podcast is a piece they performed live in studio and a touching phone call from a listener who was so impressed by what the ladies had to say he sat his two two age daughters down to listen to the radio broadcast ad discuss the importance of the production and the ladies behind it. I apologize for not including the missing segments, but they were recorded separately on different media. I promise to upload the tracks here and on myspace.com/harvroman as soon as I can...I told you that listening live would pay off one day!
